of Pope John Paul II by Peter Hebblethwaite
(1980), erroneously reports "His good brain
was fostered by hard schooling -- at Wadowice
in southern Poland, where he was born 17 May 1920
and brought up." Thankfully, very few sources
have ever repeated that error.
